Why Productivity Package?¶

Free¶
A bundle of free, small enhancements for your Business Central environment. Apportunix offers this functionality free of charge, but a subscription is required so that we are able to contact you when necessary.
- Update Dates when Converting Quotes and Banket Orders - You can now define what dates should be defaulted when creating an order from a quote or a blanket order.

Admin¶
Better enables you to manage and distinguish configurations for your Business Central environments through:
- Extension Uninstallation Log - Find out when extensions were uninstalled ánd which user accounts are responsible for the uninstallation of extensions.
- Environment Badges - Configure the style and text of badges per environment type, environment subtype, environment and company from a single setup page for all your environments and companies.
- Telemetry - The Productivity Admin Package monitors several kinds of events that are send to the environments' Application Insights.
- Advanced Job Queue Telemetry - Get alerted about failing job queue entries and job queue entries exceeding your processing time thresholds.
- Environment Copy Setup - Configure the actions to take when environments are copied, e.g., clearing or changing values to use the configurations of a test API instead of the production API.
- Telemetry to Monitor Customer and Vendor Bank Account Changes - Emit telemetry events when users modify customer or vendor bank account records.
- Media (Set) Analysis and Cleanup - Schedule tenant media orphan analysis and cleanup.

- Generate SKUs based on Templates - Generate SKUs using pre-configurated templates.
- Return Reason Required - Ensure that Sales and/or Purchase Return Orders are never released without filling in the Return Reason on the order lines.
- Create Inventory Picks - Generate inventory picks in batches for sales orders.
- Create Warehouse Shipments - Generate warehouse shipments in batches for sales orders.
- Alternative Location Assembly BOM Component - Set up an alternative location for Assembly BOM Component lines.
- Remaing Quantity on Posted Lines - Get the "Remaining Quantity" field on posted document lines.
- Normalized Shelf Numbers - Prevent a proliferation of locations. From now on, you can enforce the use of existing location codes only.
- Quotes without a Customer Number - In the standard functionlity, you can create a quote for a Contact, but you cannot release it.
- Sales Document Notifications - Get notifications when you create a sales line for an Item/Customer combination that exists in a Sales Quote and/or Blanket Order.
How to Get Started¶
To get started with the Productivity Package extension, you need to install the extension in your Business Central environment from Microsoft Marketplace. Please note that you can try out the Productivity Package extension completely for free by installing it directly from Microsoft Marketplace in one of your Business Central Sandbox environments; no trial period, no obligations!
In our online Installation Manual you can find all the instructions you need to install the extension and configure permissions. Then it is just a matter of opening the Productivity Package Setup Wizard page and following the steps, as described in the Setup Wizard section of the installation manual.
